FSC launches a public consultation on the draft of ADV-STD-20-007-XX Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation and in Initial Contact (IPVIIC) with a global scope, and on the corresponding advice note to certification bodies. The consultation seeks feedback on specific questions related to the draft and is open to all interested stakeholders.

The draft Advice Note applies in the context of FSC Forest Management certification to Management Units adjacent to or overlapping with IPVIIC’s lands and territories, as formally indicated by public authorities, defined according to Best Available Information, or identified by direct or indirect observations.

The public consultation will be open from 4th March to 4th April 2026. Stakeholders are invited to review the draft Advice Note and provide feedback through the FSC Consultation Platform.
