Join consultative forums on carbon and biodiversity credits FSC Global Development FSC Global Development November 4, 2025 Category : General news FSC has opened consultative forums to develop two procedures related to carbon and biodiversity credits. FSC has initiated two processes related to the implementation of Motion 49/2021, “FSC Ecosystem Service Procedure as a mitigation mechanism to meet global market demand for net-zero and net-positive targets.” These processes include the development of two new procedures: FSC-PRO-30-007 Procedure for High-Quality Carbon Credits FSC-PRO-30-008 Procedure for Biodiversity Credits To learn more about these processes, please visit the process page. Key updates, information, and milestones will be regularly updated on this page. The working groups for both processes have now been approved and established: Consultative Forums will be established for each process to further support the working groups. These forums will provide direct, meaningful input to their respective working groups and may be consulted on specific issues to gather feedback and technical insights from forum members with relevant expertise.
