A small label making a big impact

When you purchase FSC-labelled products, you’re helping forests, and the people that rely on them, thrive by supporting:

Keeping forests as forests

In natural forests we prohibit conversion for agriculture and set strict rules against deforestation, degradation, and land-use change in all certified forests. We ban logging activities in High Conservation Value areas and require at least 10% of all certified forests to be set aside for conservation. Reversing deforestation and maintaining irreplaceable forests are crucial to fighting climate change.

FSC Mix label

FSC Mix

Controlled sources

These sources meet the rules for FSC Controlled Wood. These standards mitigate the risk of forest-based products originating from unacceptable sources, specifically avoiding five harmful practices, which we call unacceptable activities.
Independent third-party evaluations confirm that the forest-based material in FSC-certified products comes from these sources and that the relevant rules were followed.
