Since launching the Conservation Facility, FSC has continued working with partners to expand support for conservation outcomes globally.

The Facility was created to address a key challenge: while protected and high-conservation-value landscapes play a critical role in biodiversity conservation and climate resilience, many still face barriers to accessing long-term financing.

Through the Facility, FSC connects conservation actors, funding partners, and technical expertise to strengthen conservation management and unlock opportunities linked to certification and ecosystem services.

Early contributions are already helping advance this work. For example, FSC has received an initial contribution of USD 25,000 from the Slalom Foundation through its support to the Conservation Facility. This contribution forms part of broader efforts supporting protected natural areas managed by Peru’s National Service of Natural Protected Areas (SERNANP), within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding previously established between FSC and SERNANP and FSC’s commitment toward advancing conservation and certification pathways.

It represents one of several early steps toward the USD 1 million commitment from FSC International with SERNANP. Additional partners and resources can progressively contribute through the Conservation Facility as the initiative continues to grow.

FSC thanks all partners and supporters helping advance this work and looks forward to continued collaboration to create lasting conservation impact.
