Daniel Hall

Daniel Hall is the PSC’s Environmental North member and is from the United States.  After working as a FSC Regional Standards coordinator in the 1990s, he served a term on the FSC US Board, served on two National Standards Working Groups, a National Risk Assessment Working Group, and the first two FSC International Generic Indicator Working Groups.  His consultancy (Guide Environmental) is also built on a career as a policy analyst, writer, advocate, and program director in the biodiversity, forest conservation, climate, market standards, and corporate procurement fields, and experience working to find solutions across stakeholder and business groups. His work for the FSC and other leading certification and assurance systems has included revision of policies and guidance, standards adaptation, and preparation of High Conservation Value Frameworks. He has been published in Environmental Law, Endangered Species Update, and Elsevier’s Encyclopedia of the World’s Biomes. Daniel’s degrees (BA and MA, Political Science) are based on an interdisciplinary approach.
