FSC is led by Director General Dr. Subhra Bhattacharjee, since October 2024.

She brings over 20 years of experience in sustainable development, climate change, and poverty reduction. Her work spans diverse contexts, including highly politicized environments, and she has held positions in central banking, academia, and as an international civil servant with the United Nations.

The Board of Directors is the highest decision-making body in the organization after the FSC General Assembly. The FSC membership elects four members each from the economic, social, and environmental chambers to guide and provide oversight to the organization for a term of four years.
