Brent is a Climate Forest Lead at HP with 20 years of experience overseeing the creation and implementation of natural climate solutions. Throughout her career she has created enduring collaboration with community leaders, regional tribes, tribal-led organizations, landowners, and corporate, nonprofit, and government stakeholders. Currently, she is the President of VP Data Commons, a publicly available repository that translates ecosystem data into relatable stories and visualization in service of protecting communities and restoring natural forest processes. Prior to her current role, Brent spent 21 years with Ecotrust, directing forestry programs and building partnerships for initiatives spanning watershed restoration, rural economic development, and tribal forestry programs. Brent previously served as Co-Chair on the FSC US Board of Directors. She received her M.S. in Ecosystem Analysis from the College of Forest Resources at the University of Washington, and her B.A. in Environmental Science and Conservation from the University of California, San Diego.
