FSC has published new directives for Chain of Custody Evaluations  (FSC-DIR-20-011) and Chain of Custody Certification (FSC-DIR-40-004). These directives have been updated and are now available in French and Spanish, fostering FSC’s commitment to provide information in all FSC’s official languages.

A revised FSC Forest Stewardship Standard for Germany expands to cover Christmas trees, venison, and other forest products.

The standard becomes effective on 1 November 2024.

The new standard will contribute to the promotion of responsible forest management and becomes effective on 15 March 2025.

The revised Forest Stewardship Standard for Bulgaria embodies all aspects of FSC’s most recent Principles and Criteria. The standard becomes effective on 1 January 2025.

On 1 August 2024, FSC published the new versions of the advice notes FSC-ADVICE-40-004-23 V2-0 Evaluation of Contractors against the FSC Core Labour Requirements and FSC-ADVICE-20-011-16 V2-0 Evaluation of Contractors against the FSC Core Labour Requirements. These are available as separate documents while we make changes to the Directive documents.

FSC launches conceptual phase consultation for its Chain of Custody Standards. The consultation is open from 16 August 2024 till 15 October 2024.

FSC publishes two new Forest Stewardship Standards that will further promote sustainable forest management in Chile. The standards both become effective on 15 December 2024.
