FSC Bolivia Business Roundtable generates over USD 5.17 million in business intentions at Expoforest 2026

FSC Bolivia’s participation in the 2026 International Forestry Industry Business Roundtable generated more than USD 5.17 million in business intentions, reinforcing the value of FSC certification in connecting sustainable forest products with international markets.

Held on March 27, 2026 during Expoforest 2026 in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, the initiative aimed to promote the internationalization of FSC-certified companies and forest communities while strengthening opportunities for responsible trade and sustainable forest management.

The event brought together certified forest companies, companies in the process of certification, Indigenous and local communities, NGOs, auditing firms, international buyers, and key forestry stakeholders. In total, 38 companies from 10 countries participated, generating 190 business meetings both virtual and in person.

Discussions focused on expanding the sector’s value proposition through ecosystem services, FSC-certified timber and non-timber products, promotional trademark licenses (PLA), and chain of custody systems that ensure traceability and sustainability.

The initiative further positioned FSC as a key platform for promoting responsible trade, forest conservation, and sustainable economic development across the region.
