Chief System Integrity Officer

Marc Jessel is the FSC's Chief System Integrity Officer and part of the organisation's Executive Leadership Team. In his role, he oversees FSC International's work upholding the integrity of FSC-certified supply chains, the application of FSC's Policy for Association and Remedy Frameworks, and overseeing FSC's relationship with certifying bodies and its integrity toolkit innovations.

Marc's career has spanned the public, private and NGO sectors, living and working in 12 countries and five regions. Prior to joining FSC in 2021, he was in a global role developing sustainability solutions for governments on behalf of a large certifying body. Prior to this, Marc spent 10 years as a Country Director with the UK's cultural relations agency, the British Council. He has a degree in languages and politics and a Master's in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from the London School of Economics.
