Global Network Director Lieske van Santen Lieske joined FSC in 2018 to support a growing and global team’s effort to execute and drive FSC’s impact locally in over 45 countries worldwide. Prior to joining FSC, Lieske oversaw global business development for the not-for-profit sector at a certification body, SGS. She came to SGS from the World Economic Forum where she corralled multi-sector support to protect natural forests and firmly anchored the topic on the agenda of the well-known high-level meetings, now in the hands of the Tropical Forest Alliance which the Forum accepted to host. She was selected into the Forum’s Global Leadership Fellow programme which enabled her to enrich her academic background from Wageningen university in Forest and Nature Conservation with business and operational management as well as personal development trainings.
