The deadline for certificate holders to submit requested transaction verification data is 29 September 2020. Certificate holders with okoume (Aucoumea klaineana Pierre) in their certificate scope are required to participate. They will receive a direct notification from their certification body by 29 August 2020 with further details on requirements. FSC and its accreditation body Assurance Services International have been conducting transaction verification on supply chains with selected certificate holders since 2017. This action is a response to allegations of false claims within the FSC supply chains. False claims consist in selling a product that is not eligible to be sold as FSC certified with FSC claims on its sales documents.
