We are looking for an engaged Web Digital Content Officer who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment.

 

The Scope

To contribute to the update of content, development and maintenance of features for FSC’s websites, web related platforms and applications. Overseeing the quality and consistency of web related content is maintained. Participate in the development and maintenance of website features for FSC Network partners sites.

 

Main Roles and Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, monitor and  maintain all web and digital content to ensure it is accurate and meets usability and accessibility standards.
  • Draft, edit and create engaging and easy to understand user guides for FSC web platforms and application.
  • Ensure cross-Web site consistency in branding, look-and-feel layouts and assets.
  • Participate in SEO for FSC websites.
  • Provide support to business units on content related queries for all websites and web related platforms.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with external vendors to maintain and deliver website and web platform features and functionality.
  • Liaise with external consultants to provide content translation for web content.
  • Contribute to development and evaluation of all FSC website architecture and navigation to ensure high-quality user experience.
  • Monitor website performance and produce relevant reports, recommendations, materials and other documents as needed.
  • Liaise with Web content managers and IT support staff to support the overall improvements and availability of Web sites.
  • Monitor, report bugs and support in diagnosis of web site issues and "broken", inconsistent, and erroneous content and pages.
  • Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs.

 

Qualification, Experience and Skills

Education and Training:

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations).

 

Working Experience, Style and Skills: 

  • At least 3 years professional experience in communications work related to this position.
  • Creative thinker 
  • Multi-tasking at a high level.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
  • Ability to function in a high-pressure environment.
  • Solution- and service-oriented attitude to work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

Computer Skills: 

  • Content management systems: Drupal, WordPress or similar.
  • Project management tools: DevOps, JIRA or similar.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Open Web
  • Analytics or similar.
  • Interface design tools to create, collaborate, prototype, and handoff: Figma, Adobe XD or similar.
  • Social Media.
  • Video and Photo editing tools.
  • SEO: Ahrefs, Moz or similar.
  • Excellent skills in the use of standard software packages (e.g. MS Office).

 

Language and Communication Skills: 

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written). 
  • Spanish is a plus.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deliver engaging messaging to specific target groups.  

 

Terms and Conditions

  • Location: Bonn, Germany
  • Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week
  • Duration of Employment: [Temporary contract - 2 years extension possible, subject to satisfactory performance
  • Starting Date: As soon as possible
