We are looking for an engaged Technical Analyst (Community and Family Forests Manager) Brazil who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment. The Scope The CFF Manager will support existing and potential forest management certificate holders (CH), focusing on community and family forest stewards who often own small forests or managed forests with a low level of intensity. The support will be on implementing the different CFF policy solutions and market tools, promoting the connection of these forest stewards to commercial opportunities. Main Roles and Responsibilities The position is responsible for driving CFF initiatives within the geographical area of responsibility, generically following the dimensions below: Develop a CFF project pipeline. Develop, maintain, and strengthen a pipeline of potential CFF users using the available prioritization and reporting tools: Deliver a pipeline that integrates at least twenty (20) new CFF users per calendar year. Establish and manage relationships with the most promising CFF users, serving as their FSC liaison. This work shall be undertaken in close coordination with local Network Partner or representatives, and under the guidance of the Community and Family Forests Program Manager and Regional Director (or the relevant regional staff). Build local partnerships through training. In close coordination with the Community and Family Forests Program Manager, National Director and Regional Director, the incumbent shall develop, coordinate, and implement a series of local trainings, designed according to the target audiences and CFF toolbox. The trainings should consider existing or potential certificate holders, auditors, or other Certification Bodies representatives, as well as like-minded organization with a relevant local presence. Support marketing Support work within Key Account Management, Marketing, Communication and Engagement teams with insights, contacts, and market intelligence, both as content producer, reviewer, and occasionally as project manager. Additional tasks as agreed with the Community and Family Forests Programme Manager, the National Director, and the LATAM Regional Director. Qualification, Experience and Skills Education and Training: University degree in a relevant field such as Natural Resource Management, Sustainability and Certification, Environmental Science, and Agriculture and Forest Sciences. Forest management background but with a strong auditor experience. Working Experience, Style, and Skills: More than seven (7) years of demonstrated professional experience, with at least three (3) years in a role with relevant outreach and project development within one or more of the following: Forest and Forestry Sector, Environmental Project development, in field NGO or development cooperation work. Track record of working in a project-based organisation. Commercial mindset. Preferably 1-2 years’ experience in capacity building initiatives, training, communication or similar outgoing and people facing roles. Experience in working with international organisations and international project teams. Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Spanish. Collaborative working style and team building skills. Well organised, and with a business mindset. Good time management skills: ability to perform well while handling simultaneously a number of functions. Service and solution-oriented attitude to work. Languages: Fluency in Portuguese and English (spoken and written). Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is a plus. Computer Skills –good skills in the use of/experience with:: Standard software packages (MS Office). Communication Skills: Very good verbal and written communication skills. Active-listening skills. Ability to facilitate interactive discussions. Ability to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relations. Others: Experience in working in a multi-cultural, multi-lingual, global team. Demonstrated cultural awareness and sensitivity to the diversity of values, views, and approaches to issues relevant to the FSC program by stakeholders around the world. Terms and Conditions Location: Brazil. Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week. Duration of Employment: 2 years consultancy contract. Starting Date: As soon as possible.
