Your Role

Your role as a STUDENT ASSISTANT (f/m/d) in the field of GSM LOGISTICS will be to support of the team in the organizational preparation, follow-up and implementation of the Global Staff Meeting which is an annual gathering of FSC staff. In close coordination with the GSM project manager and teams, you will work independently on a wide variety of tasks to ensure that the event run smoothly. You will be part of a passionate and experienced team that organizes unforgettable experiences for our global staff.

  • Show up every day with an attitude to learn and contribute.
  • Act as a team player at all times, pitching in wherever it is needed.
  • Provide overall event management support on the preparation of the FSC Global Staff Meeting (GSM) that will take place from 22nd to 26th of May.
  • Active participation on the ideation phases of the GSM setup to ensure it delivers on its objectives and provides value to participants.
  • Communicate with staff members across the globe and external suppliers required for the event.
  • Brainstorming and budgeting for new amenities to the event like one day field trip, social events in the evenings.
  • Coordinate the provision of exhibits prior to the event.
  • Onsite support to the project team to ensure the logistics during the event in Cologne run smoothly.
  • Assist with requisitioning and inventorying for all necessary facility equipment and supplies.
  • Create event collateral and outreach through social media channels, and email blasts.


Your Profile

  • Have experience or passion for organizing events or meetings.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • High Service Orientation. You enjoy and have the ability to anticipate, identify, and meet people’s often unspoken needs.
  • Flexible and can adjust to urgent requests.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel and Outlook.
  • Business fluent in English.
  • Live in commuting distance to our Bonn office.


Terms and Conditions

  • Start date: As soon as possible.
  • Working hours: 20 hours per week (ideally across 3 - 5 days per week).
  • Duration: Four to six months.
  • Remuneration: 12€ gross per hour.
  • Location: FSC office Bonn, Germany (or remote during Covid-19 restrictions).
