We are looking for an engaged IT and Knowledge Management Officer who brings solid expertise and a passion for FSC’s mission, to work with us in a multinational environment. The Scope To collaborate in the development, planning, support and promotion of information and institutional Knowledge sharing initiatives. Participates as a team member in the ongoing Implementation, maintenance and support of FSC’s knowledge management repository and related IT application platforms. Main Roles and Responsibilities Contribute to development of the Knowledge Management (KM) strategy that aligns with business requirements. Configure, maintain and support FSC’s KM repository. Liaise with service providers and vendors to develop and implement open knowledge repository features, API integrations with FSC’s database. Ensure appropriate Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is implemented and maintained for FSC KM repository. Ensure KM system is periodically upgraded and updated, including technical and functional scope. Build capacity through training of staff and stakeholders on KM initiatives and systems. Develop user guidelines on working data, information and knowledge management tools. Work with business units to identify needs, gather requirements and provide solutions for knowledge sharing opportunities that meet business needs. Coordinate and participate in user acceptance testing on new features and modules. Advise and promote the management and appropriate sharing of internally generated information and knowledge. Conduct evaluations to support the implementation of improvements and enhancement. Proactively participate in project implementation, providing capabilities for planning, definition, testing, training and go-live activities. Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot and ensure long term resolution of identified bugs, problems and incidents. Support applications and platforms within FSC’s IT Landscape. Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs. Qualification, Experience and Skills Education and Training: A university degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or a related IT field. ITIL V3 or V4 foundation. Intermediate level will be a plus. Certification in Knowledge Management. Working Experience, Style and Skills: 2-5 years’ relevant experience working with Web based applications and platforms. 1-2 years’ experience working with Knowledge Management repositories, systems and tools. 2-3 years’ experience in managing Ubuntu-Linux servers. Knowledge and experience with working with Dspace will be an added advantage. Knowledge and experience with working with API’s. Experience with Microsoft Azure, Office 365 and or Microsoft Dynamics. A probing and analytical approach with the ability to pre-empt potential problems and identify inefficiencies. An ability to prioritize and allocate effort appropriately. Requirements gathering, ability to transform user needs into IT solutions. Proactive team player. Keen attention to detail. Computer Skills: Ubuntu-Linux. Strong, hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure Cloud Services and relevant programming languages. Experience with software and application development lifecycle management. Language and Communication Skills: Fluency in English (spoken and written). Customer service orientation with good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to convey information clearly to users and grasp perceived difficulties.
