This document sets the rules for companies and organizations who are not certified, but wish to use the FSC trademarks for promotional purposes. In addition to promoting FSC-certified products and related services, promotional licence holders can now use the FSC trademarks to promote completed FSC-certified projects.

FSC established a transition period from 1 June 2019 for the use of the revised guide. The original version of the guide could still be used for a year, but this transition period has now come to an end. The revised guide replaces FSC STD-50-002 Requirements for promotional use of the FSC trademarks by non-certificate holders and Advice Note on Requirements for use of the FFAF trademarks by non-certificate holders (FSC-ADV-50-005) that FSC withdrew on 31 May 2019.

If you are interested in becoming a promotional licence holder, you can get in touch with FSC national or regional trademark service providers or contact FSC International directly.
