The suspension is a result of a failure in carrying out sufficient corrective actions to close one major non-conformity (NC) within the specified timelines. The relevant finding was first raised in 2016. The suspension came into effect on 22 November 2018 and will be in place for a maximum of six months.
This measure restricts SKH’s capacity to offer and provide FSC-accredited chain of custody (CoC) certification to new clients. During the period of suspension, certificates issued by SKH will remain valid and during this same period, SKH can continue to conduct surveillance and re-certification audits for existing clients and to renew certificates.
The suspension will be lifted if SKH demonstrates during the next six months that it has been able to address and close the major non-conformity identified.
SKH is accredited for FSC CoC. Currently SKH has issued 344 FSC CoC certificates, primarily in but not limited to the Netherlands.
