a low angle look up into a canopy of pine trees in Lithuania

This is the first national forest stewardship standard in the Baltic region. It will promote sustainable and responsible forest management in Lithuania by balancing between social responsibility, environment protection and economic viability.

A chamber-balanced standard development group developed the standard. The development process considered local stakeholder engagement and field testing. The standard includes forest management requirements applicable to all forest types and organization types, as well as small and low-intensity managed forests and non-timber forest products.

Please contact the moderator of the standard development group, Aidas Pivoriūnas (a.pivoriunas@lt.fsc.org), for any inquiries regarding the standard.
