The standard has been developed by a chamber-balanced Standard Development Group using a multi-stakeholder process, including two public consultations.

This new standard applies to all forest types and scales. FSC intends for the revised standard to contribute to increasing the FSC-certified forest area in Luxembourg (currently 25 percent).
