The continuous improvement concept is an ongoing process in which smallholders take flexible steps to gain FSC certification over time. FSC will develop an official procedure to turn the continuous improvement concept into a concrete framework. We are now establishing a technical working group to develop that framework.

The ideal applicant should have expertise in developing national forest management standards, managing forest management certificates (especially with small forest owner groups or community forests) and auditing forest management standards.

Please check the terms of reference –at the end of this article – for all the requirements to meet, in particular the dates of the in-person meetings. FSC will cover all travel costs associated with the in-person meetings of the working group.

Applicants fitting this profile must send their CV and the completed application form to New Approaches Manager, Rosario Galán at r.galan@fsc.org.
