FSC General Assembly 2008
FSC invites you to attend its fifth General Assembly of members.
After South-America and Europe, we are looking forward to meeting on the African continent this time.
Business, environmental and social leaders representing over 60 countries will gather to address the crucial link between the welfare of people and forests.
The FSC General Assembly is FSC’s highest decision-making body. Every three years, members of the social, environmental and economic chambers of FSC come together to discuss a sustainable future for the world’s forests and the people who inhabit them.
Democratic rules of participation, balanced representation and equal power to vote have proven powerful tools to bring people together, find solutions, and promote responsible stewardship of the forests.
The topics for discussion will include:
- Review FSC Principles and Criteria
- Expanding FSC certification for small-scale forest owners worldwide
- The role of FSC certification in combating climate change
Join us at this year's FSC General Assembly and help us to put vision into action.
We are looking forward to seeing you in Cape Town!
