A forester by training, Andre Giacini de Freitas also brings extensive and broad experience working with FSC.

This includes field experience working as an auditor in Brazil as well as high-level, strategic and policy work at the international level.

Previously, Andre Giacini de Freitas managed Imaflora, a Brazilian NGO that is also the SmartWood affiliate in that country, and also developed the social and environmental policy for Rabobank in Brazil.

From 2006 Andre Giacini de Freitas has been leading the FSC Policy and Standards and Communications program for two years.
